About Middletown Robotics

We are a very diverse and multi-talented organization, centered around but not wholly reliant upon the framework of FIRST Robotics. We build robots, compete with them at media-covered events, and work towards a brighter future enhanced by the wonders of technology. In the process, students grow, their skills and personalities thriving as they take on and overcome the plentiful challenges we encounter along the road. Our objective is not to win, but to succeed; we strive to give students a pathway towards a brighter future and we reach for any opportunity to accomplish this.

Our team competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), a tournament of sorts created by FIRST, an international non-profit organization built upon the cooperation of schools, students, mentors, and businesses of all sizes. The competition is unique in that it enforces "gracious professionalism" between teams and individuals.

In taking part in this competition, our schedule is strict, utilizing the fall to gather funding and prepare ourselves for the rigorous six week timetable of winter's build season. Along the way we often participate in community events, such as Middletown's annual Big Ball fundraiser, while also creating our own programs. This year, we hope to run an adult Spelling Bee, host a "Don't Come" party, hold a bake sale at the local Duel on the Delaware robotics competition, and more. Altogether, we are excited to be part of what may be our team's most successful year ever.
